1.Are you a photographer by profession?

No, I am a software programmer by profession.

2.Do you do photography for a living?

No, photography is my serious passion.

3.Since how long are you in this profession?

I had my first camera when I was 10yrs but the start of my serious photography as a passion was in the year 2003.

4.What inspired you to become a photographer?

My father loves writing and his interest towards nature and special moments inspired me to capture the essences of those moments. My Uncle has always been a photographer and his clicks amazed me always which is also an added element into my inspiration to become a photographer.

5.What Genre of photography do you do?

My personal favorite genre is Wildlife and Travel photography. But I do love portraits and candid.

6.What is one known photographer you look up to?

When I speak and feel of Wildlife, it is none other than my mentor Mohan Thomas and when it comes to Travel photography it is of course my frriend – Hari Menon.

7.What do you think could be drawbacks of being a photographer as a profession?

It is not certain that you can satisfy your passion when you do a professional photography project as you are not taking photos for yourself but for a client based on their needs, which is sometimes compromising the principles of photography.

8.Did you go to a photography school or are you self-taught?

I got my basics from my Uncle but I am proud to say I am self-taught

9.What helped you learning photography the most?

Our photography club Dohakoottam (DK) which I initiated in 2008 with a bunch of enthusiast amateurs, supporting each other we pursued our passion developing our skills eventually.

10.How passionate are you about photography?

I am built by my passion and known as a photographer generally among friends and family. I have travelled more than 25 destinations during past ten years looking for my frames and Kenya is my favorite destination and one among my most visited country. I love using natural lights and the drama created by the natural phenomenon.
