DOHA: The Public Works Authority, ‘Ashghal’, announced that it will remove a temporary traffic diversion on Dukhan North Service Road that connects the road from Umm Al Afai area towards Dehaliyat Interchange and vice versa. The detour has been designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
Road users travelling southbound on Orbital Road from Al Khor will join Dukhan Road at Umm Al Afaei interchange towards Doha. Once at Dukhan Road, they will need to head east for a distance of 2km towards Umm Al Juwashin interchange and make a U-turn via the interchange loops following the signs towards Dukhan. Road users travelling towards Doha / Umm Al Afaei Petrol Station will head towards Dehaliyat Interchange; make a U-turn at the roundabout, then continue east towards Umm Al Juwashin Interchange. At Umm Al Juwashin Interchange they must follow the signs towards their destination.
Road users travelling from Dukhan towards Al Khor on Dukhan road will head east on Dukhan road towards Umm Al Juwashin Interchange on the New Orbital Road and will be using the same current route through Umm Al Juwashin Interchange loops. All local access on the service road will be normally accessed through Dehaliyat Interchange.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift and request all road users to abide by the speed limit that will not change along the route, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
