Ashghal to open tilted intersection tunnel for traffic

Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announced the opening of Tilted Intersection tunnel to traffic coming from Al Gharrafa towards Al Rayyan as part of Khalifa Avenue road project from Sunday evening, September 1, 2019, in coordination with General Directorate of Traffic.

In order to allow for the opening of the new tunnel and accelerate the completion of the remaining works at the Tilted Interchange, Ashghal will implement a temporary traffic diversion for a month, traffic coming from Al Luqta Street and main Al Gharrafa Street through the Tilted Intersection signals will not be able to go towards Huwar Street, however traffic must continue towards Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange and follow the signs to reach their destinations.

Ashghal points out that road users heading towards local roads and Dukhan should use the existing Al Gharrafa Street and not use the new tunnel.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the changes on the road. Ashghal urged all road users to abide by the 50-km speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
