Doha: Only ten days remain until the first of three raffle draws takes place as part of the Summer in Qatar’s retail offering, the Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry have announced. Shoppers will have the opportunity to win nine cash prizes worth a total of QR400,000.
The first prize of QR100,000 will be equally divided among five winners who will each receive QR20,000, while two participants will split the second QR100,000 prize, securing each QR50,000.
Another QR200,000 prize will be awarded to two winners, each collecting QR100,000.
The draws will take place on June 28 at 7.00pm in Lagoona Mall.
To enter the draws, shoppers should simply submit any receipts worth QR200 or more to a Summer in Qatar counter at any participating mall, where they can register electronically. The system will generate vouchers according to the amount of money spent, with shoppers’ details saved. If shoppers spend an additional QR200 or more during subsequent shopping trips at any participating mall, they can register again in the raffle draw with ease.
Participating malls include Doha Festival City, Mall of Qatar, Lagoona Mall, Landmark Mall, Gulf Mall, Tawar Mall, Al Khor Mall, Hyatt Plaza, and Al Mirqab Mall.
For every QR200 spent at any of the participating outlets in these malls, shoppers can win cash prizes, as well as the grand prize of a McLaren car, the draw for which occurs at the end of the summer season.
Raffle draws are a much-loved feature of the summer festivities, taking place on a live stage and accompanied by entertainment shows.
While the first draw will take place in ten days at Lagoona Mall, the second will be held at Doha Festival City Mall on July 26, followed by a final draw on August 16 at Mall of Qatar.
Mashal Shahbik from Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC), commented “Qatar boasts a broad range of shopping experiences, and we are pleased to be able to put the spotlight on them through shopping promotions, as well as in-mall entertainment that makes shopping an exciting experience for the whole family. We are grateful for the support of our partners in Qatar’s malls and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, who are helping to energize and boost this important sector.â€
