According to Qatar Meteorology, a series of foggy days expected to affect the country starting from Friday 29/12/2017 until Tuesday 2/1/2018.

Relative humidity increases at night with a chance of mist/fog in some areas in the beginning of Friday.

However, fog expected to extend over most areas on Saturday, Sunday and Monday starting near midnight and lasting until early morning hours causing visibility to drop below 1km with zero visibility at times. Chance of fog expected to continue on Tuesday in some areas.

It’s worth mentioning that fog is associated mostly with settled weather conditions as a result of a high pressure system where conditions become favorable for fog during clear nights with light winds. Qatar Meteorology Department urges all to be cautious and to follow driving safety instructions, as well as to follow latest updates through our official social media accounts.
