Ooredoo honours Es’hailSat for launch of satellite

Doha: In the presence of Ooredoo senior executives, Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, Ooredoo Chairman, has welcomed Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, CEO of Es’hailSat, and a group of Es’hailSat team members at Ooredoo’s Headquarters, following their successful launch of the Qatari satellite Es’hail 2 last month.

Sheikh Abdulla has honoured Es’hailSat team for their achievement, and extended his congratulations and wishes for the team to continue their success in the future.

Talking about the occasion, Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, Ooredoo Chairman, said: “The launch of Es’Hail 2 is a huge step for our country and a testament of dedication and expertise of our local companies. As a global company born in Qatar, we’re delighted to have welcomed the Es’HailSat team to congratulate them on their success and highlight Qatar’s achievements.”

Es’Hail 2 is a Qatari satellite, launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on November 15, 2018. The satellite was launched from the Kennedy Space Center and is aimed to provide direct-to-home television services in the Middle East and North Africa region.
