We have chosen Noman Qadri as the photographer of the week as his clicks are breathtakingly gorgeous and would make you fall in love with the city all over again.

We asked our photographer of the week a few questions and this is what he has to say, along with some of Noman’s best shots:

Name: Noman Syed
Date of Birth: May 1992
Nationality: Indian

 1. Are you a photographer by profession?

No, I am a Telecom Engineer by profession.

 2. Do you do photography for a living?

No, I do not. Although, it’s my favorite pastime.

 3. Since how long are you in this profession?

I am not a professional photographer and do not even own a pro digital camera/DSLR.

All my photos are taken from smartphones which I own, first started with the Sony Cybershot phone back in 2007.

4. What inspired you to become a photographer?

Stillness; a good photograph creates a pause to moments, freezes a view or often reveals a new perspective to things which are always around us but can easily get overlooked or under appreciated

5. What Genre of photography do you do?

Cityscapes

 6. What is one known photographer you look up to?

Mr. Ibrar Ahmed, if you consider the ones based in Qatar.

 7. What do you think could be drawbacks of being a photographer as a profession?

I am not a pro to have any insight on this. But one observation I have is – Everyone likes good photographs but most people tend to not appreciate the efforts professional photographers have put in to get that perfect shot.

8. Did you go to a photography school or are you self-taught?

Self-taught. I am an amateur, with no professional experience or training.

 9. What helped you learning photography the most?

Analyzing all the bad photos – the ones that don’t make the final cut – helps me learn; to what’s missing and what could have been better. I always try to go back to the same spot again to try and achieve a better shot.

10.
How passionate are you about photography?

Taking photos is just a hobby for me, but I’m always on the hunt for unique perspectives of every place I visit around Doha
