Qatar participates in Arab scout workshop

DOHA: The Arab Scout Workshop opened on Thursday in Muscat to train supervisors, leaders and officials of training centers and scout camps.

The event is being hosted by the General Directorate of Scouts and Guides of Oman in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Arab Scout Organization, QNA reported. The workshop will conclude on November 21.

The Scout and Guide Association of Qatar is participating in this Arab Scout Workshop to gain new experiences and skills as well as to learn about different cultures. Speaking to QNA, Jassim Mohamad Al Hardan, the commissioner-general of the Scout and Guide Association of Qatar, said that the association will hold meetings with the General Directorate of Scouts and Guides in Oman and to share experiences between the two sides.

Jassim Mohamad Al Hardan, Commissioner-General of the Scout and Guide Association of Qatar met with Dr. Yacoub bin Khalfan Al Nadabi, Director General of Scouts and Guides of Oman, and discussed relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in scouting areas.

Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Hinai, Assistant Director-General of Scouts at the General Directorate of Scouts and Guides of Oman, said in his opening speech that the holding of this scouting session coincides with the Sultanate’s celebrations of the 48th National Day. He said that the scout is one of the best way to develop and human resources and improve their performance.
