QATAR University (QU) faculty members and students staged a protest against the US President Donald Trump’s decision to move the US embassy to Jerusalem and recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The students chanted slogans condemning the decision and raised the flag of Palestine and pictures of the city of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque. QU President Dr Hassan al Derham said that the protest organised by QU students came to express everyone’s feelings about Jerusalem as an Islamic Arab state.
