About Summer in Qatar (SiQ)

SiQ forms part of QNTC’s strategy to enrich and diversify the country’s tourism offering, particularly in the area of family and urban entertainment. This year marks greater collaboration among QNTC’s partners in the public and private sectors, who have taken the initiative to create more tourism offerings.  SiQ is part of QNTC’s focus on developing sustainable, year-round tourism, boosting a traditionally slower season in Qatar.

Qatar Airways Deals: 25% discount on flights to Doha between 30 May-15 August along with 25% discount on Al Maha Airport Meet and Assist / Lounge Services.

Shopping Promotions

Up to 70% discount and other promotions offered across nine Participating Malls: Doha Festival City, Mall of Qatar, Lagoona Mall, Landmark Mall, Gulf Mall, Tawar Mall, AlKhor Mall, Hyatt Plaza, and AlMirqab Mall. Eid Celebrations:

Entertainment City at DECC

The SiQ centerpiece and family favourite returns this year. Occupying 29,000 m² of indoor space at the DECC, it features exciting rides, skill games, video games, live entertainment shows, food court & pop-up shops from 1^st day of Eid – 13 July.

 

Family Shows:

Special shows for kids to be staged at QNCC: ‘Smurfs’ on 18-20 July and ‘Hello Kitty’ on 25-27 July, Blue Man 14 – 17 August.

Mall Entertainment – free for all visitors

There will be special entertainment shows and roaming activities taking place across all the partner malls including Balloon Stilt Walker, Meet & Greet with characters from movies premiering this summer: Toy Story 4, Spider Man- Far From Home and Angry Birds 2 as well as Captain Marvel and Hulk, Tom & Jerry, Titan the Robot, Ant Man and Black Panther and Ugly Dolls. Jeem TV & Baraem TV will also be doing live shows from various malls.

In addition to these activities, most partner malls will be offering unique entertainment and edutainment programs for different age groups:

• Lagoona Mall: Aladdin show on Eid Al-Fitr & The Little Mermaid on Eid Al-Adha.
• Mirqab Mall: Family Fun Circus on Eid Al-Fitr and different edutainment activities throughout summer including Fitness Fridays classes.
• Doha Festival City: Original Monopoly Human Sized Game during Eid Al-Fitr and special activations through summer at Trimoo Parks: activities in Angry Birds World, esports competitions at VIRTUOCiTYâ„¢ and the opening of their new snow themed park Snow Dunes in July.
